Vision and direction of the National Board of Benefits and Pension 2016 – 2020
To facilitate a campaign to educate the church membership in regards to the purpose and function of the National Board of Benefits and Pension.
The efforts will be as follows:
Providing workshops during the National Convention for the purpose of educating members about the necessity of insurance.
Developing publications for distribution during the National Seminar and during the National Convention.
Developing a webpage linked to the national page which will be accessible to the entire body. The rationale will be to better inform the national body of our services.
To assist the National Church in suggested ways to formulate and structure a healthy retirement plan for pastors and those who have given their service to the church.
Develop committees to carry out and formulate the success of each approved recommendation.
The completion of the memorial guide for the church organization.
III. GOAL(s) for ’16 – ’17 Church Year 1. Complete and provide a Memorial Guide for pastors and churches. 2. Seeking to launch and webpage for the National Board of Benefits and Pension. 3. Create publications to be distributed during the 2017 convention year.
IV. MINISTRY INIATIVES (e.g., what new things are you doing) 1. The board will seek to educate ministers and members regarding the importance of insurance. 2. We will share promotional material during National Seminar and seek to enroll new pastors in the insurance program. 3. Seek to provide promotional materials and conduct workshops during the National Convention setting.
V. MANAGEMENT INFORMATION Estimate of Current Operational Funds, Savings, and Investments: $8, 050.03 Amount budgeted to spend or projected to spend during ’16-’17: $29, 075.00 Means and Frequency of Board/Auxiliary Interaction during the Year: The board will connect through conference calls, emails, and meetings during the National Convention. Board members are encouraged and expected to attend all board meetings and or conference calls. Members are also encouraged to attend all National Convention pre and post meetings, spring meeting and periodic Fall Sessions as well as National Parent Body Business Sessions.

To assist the National Church in suggested ways to formulate and structure a healthy retirement plan for pastors and those who have given their service to the church. 2. Develop committees to carry out and formulate the success of each approved recommendation. The above mission can be successful by leadership empowering the board to fulfill its mission.
